Description
Banded Onyx Luminaries - "Cherry Blossom Blue"Mexico
A pair of Calcite Onyx luminaries, remarkable for their distinctive coloration and artistry. The stone exhibits a unique palette of pink, black, and blue hues, inspiring the name "Cherry Blossom Blue," as the soft pink zones evoke blossoms drifting across a sky of pale blue. Each luminary is crafted from large Onyx boulders mined in central Mexico, with quarter-inch-thick slabs that have been book-matched to create continuous, flowing patterns across the panels. The precisely mitered edges and closed-fitted tops reflect expert craftsmanship. Equally striking under illumination or in natural light, the pair emits a warm, ambient glow that enhances both residential and corporate interiors, serving as functional lighting and natural art. There are some chips near the bottom edges of the lamps.
Larger Lamp Measurements: 59.00 x 12.00 x 12.00 inches (149.86 x 30.48 x 30.48 cm)
Provenance: Property of a Distinguished Southern California Collector
