DescriptionUTAH AGATE NODULE
3.25 x 2.75 x 0.68 inches (8.25 x 6.98 x 1.75 cm)
Agate is a variety of the mineral Chalcedony, a form of silica, which has a waxy luster and usually can be translucent. This little example features an intricate central patterning of spheroidal units outlined with an edging of light whitish-blue. This sliced Agate was cut and polished to reveal its inner beauty, but the reverse side is natural having preserved the rutty but rich rind of rust-red and brownish coloration. Over 3 inches (7.62 cm) at its maximum diameter, this specimen is both cute and at the same time collectible.
