This large bird of prey has been meticulously carved out of golden and red Tiger's Eye from South Africa. This stately creature surveys his territory while perched atop an attractive sculptural limestone base that shows in high relief interbedded siliceous layers, which lends additional contrast. One can envision him about to take off and soar through blue skies in search of his next meal. There are many reasons why this majestic Eagle is at the top of the food chain, as he surveys his territory with his steely Ruby eyes surrounded by 18 Karat gold. He measures 11 x 4.25 x 9.5 inches (27.94 x 10.79 x 24.13 cm). His large hooked beak, strong legs and powerful gold plated sterling silver vermeil talons make him the undisputed king of his domain.
