    Tiger Iron Free-form Slab
    Ord Ranges, Pilbara, Western Australia

    There are similarities between Tiger Iron and Tiger's Eye since they both contain bright golden bands of Tiger's Eye. But they differ visually because Tiger Iron has many other additional colors. It comes from Northern Western Australia and it formed in a shallow sea over 2.5 billion years ago. There are bright swirling bands of red Jasper, black Hematite, blue Riebeckite and vibrant yellow chatoyant Tiger's Eye. This is a superb example of some of the oldest material on the planet and is in excellent condition. It has been very well polished and will be a great conversation piece.
