QUARTZ STORK FAMILY on AMETHYST "FLOWER" BASE

This family scene features a family of five storks: the pround mother and father with their three small offspring standing on an Amethyst "flower". Each bird has been carved out of clear, transparent Quartz and accented with Carnelian beaks and gold plated Sterling Silver legs. Papa stork has his wings outstretched as if he is settling down in the nest, while Momma stork is looking fondly at her brood of three youngsters who are standing at her feet. They are standing in an Amethyst "flower" where the multitude of pale Amethyst crystals create the illusion of a "nest". The overall sculpture measures 12.5 x 10.5 inches (31.8 x 26.7 cm), with Papa having a 9.5 inch (24.1 cm) wingspan, Mama standing 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) tall, with each of the babies 2 inches (5.1 cm) high. Master carver Peter Müller has created this entire sculpture with wit and imagination.
