This sizable sphere has been fashioned from a singular piece of Malachite that exhibits the finely-grained "flower" pattern indicative of the stalactitic origin of the material. There are swirling bands of various shades of green, from a light fern green to a darker forest green, and all the hues in between. The hollow zones in the original formation have been filled to facilitate the fashioning of the sphere. This decorative orb is in excellent condition.
