This Malachite free-form is a quintessential example of a polished specimen out of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This Copper by-product forms in stalactitic masses, which is evident by the dozens of concentric "bull's-eye" patterns seen on the surface of this decorative object. These stalactites have been cut and polished down to produce one incredible offering. The varying shades of green add an extra dimension to this already iconic specimen with an intense 360-degree polish. The overall organic triangular shape of this serious example is beautiful in its own right, let alone the undulating pattern and surfaces in combination with alternating shades of rich green. This attractive Malachite free-form is in excellent condition with only a few scratches. This large specimen will make a statement in any room, given its rare combination of fantastic color, form, and size.
