This excellent specimen of Azurite has been cut and polished to reveal a deep, mesmerizing blue that is almost beyond the capabilities of the camera. The thick slice is polished on both sides, exhibiting concentric bands of alternating Azurite growth accented by bright, shimmering green Malachite 'bulls-eye' growth. The pattern is visually stunning, but it is the extremely intense hue of this exceptional example that really sets it apart. This piece begs to be viewed in person as the image truly does not do the saturated blue hue justice.
