Meteorite & Dinosaur Bone Knife
    Gibeon Blade, Iron, fine octahderite
    Gibeon, Great Nama Land, Namibia
    Dinosaur Bone Handle, Jurassic
    Morrison Formation

This handcrafted knife is the best of both worlds. It features one of the most beautiful Iron Meteorites, the Gibeon octahedrite from Namibia, and "Gem" red Dinosaur Bone from Utah. The blade is composed of cut, etched and polished Gibeon showcasing its stunning "crisscrossing" Widmanst├Ątten pattern. The blade measures 5.0 x 1.25 x 0.37 inches (12.7 x 3.17 x 0.93 cm) and includes a drop point which curves upwards with the natural Meteorite visible on the thick spine. The Meteorite blade has a partial tang and is reinforced with metal in lieu of the full tang. The metal bolster has a finger grove and guard, and both the bolster and pommel are accented with inlaid red stripes. The handle features quintessential "gem" Dinosaur Bone exhibiting its intriguing trabecular cell structure with a rich, red hue. Overall, the knife has a nice balance and weighs an impressive 328 grams (11.56 oz). This knife is in good condition with only some expected rust patina and displays a nice harmony between the dull finished blade and the polished fossilized bone. The custom creation was meticulously executed by St. Louis knife maker Randy Larsen. The knife is presented with a decorative, ornate tan and black ostrich sheath.
    Overall Measurements: 9.53 x 1.42 x 0.59 inches (24.20 x 3.60 x 1.50 cm)
