This is an exceptional example of prized Lapis from Afghanistan with highly saturated midnight blue coloration. This particular specimen mainly consists of Lazurite and has very little white Calcite and golden Pyrite, putting it in the upper echelon for the variety. The organic sculpture has a pleasing asymmetrical shape with undulating ridges and a nice polish over its entirety. It is a true 360-degree specimen as it can be viewed from any angle and has a great overall polish. This outstanding example is in excellent condition and is sure to be the centerpiece in any room. The specimen has a flat cut bottom for easy installation. Material of this level is becoming harder to procure, making this a great acquisition opportunity. The huge piece weighs 20 pounds (9.1 kilograms).
