Description

Labradorite Free-Form
Madagascar

This large sculptural piece of Labradorite is "electric" and pops with color. Used for a decorative installation piece, this natural material comes to life, when lit, and viewed from different angles due to its inherent labradorescence. This optical phenomenon is created from within the stone and displays as bright flashes of intense blue and green coloration. The large mineral specimen features one cut and polished surface displaying the quintessential blues and greens coveted in this material. By leaving the rest of the piece rough, an added dimension of contrast makes the polished surface that much more intriguing. It is somewhat akin to a "behind the scenes" look, and the result is not disappointing. This particular piece originated in the remote and exotic locality of Madagascar. Natural elements are essential in interior design, and this piece will be a perfect decorative addition to any room. The bottom has been cut flat to facilitate an easy and secure installation.
Overall Measurements: 12.00 x 11.50 x 5.50 inches (30.48 x 29.21 x 13.97 cm)
