Description

Dinosaur Bone & Gibeon Meteorite Dagger
Gibeon Blade, Iron, IVA
Great Nama Land, Namibia
Dinosaur Bone Handle
Jurassic
Utah, USA

This exceptional dagger has been created from two fascinating elements: Gibeon Meteorite and "Gem" Dinosaur Bone. Daggers are one of the oldest styles of knives, which is apropos considering the material used to fashion this piece. The blade is composed of cut, etched and polished Gibeon Meteorite, showcasing its stunning "crisscrossing" Widmanstätten pattern, from Namibia; and the handle is made out of exceptional "Gem" Dinosaur Bone from the Morrison Formation of Utah, dating to the Jurassic Period. This double-edged blade has symmetrical double hollow grinds and measures 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) from tip to bolster. The Dinosaur Bone handle features a mesmerizing "gem" bone with haunting hues of deep red and purple with transparent patches creating a beautiful pattern. The handle is also symmetrical with a visible partial-tang, geometric shaped butt and measures 4.75 inches (12 cm). The incredible dagger is in great condition and was handmade with obvious skill and great care by St. Louis knife maker Randy Larsen.
Overall Measurements: 8.27 x 1.02 x 0.59 inches (21.00 x 2.58 x 1.51 cm)

Note: Lot does not come with meteorite.
