    "Sonora Sunset" Sculpture
    Milpillas Mine, Sonora, Mexico

    This fiery piece of "Sonora Sunset" will catch anyone's eye. It is a perfect mix of Chrysocolla and Cuprite. The sky-blue is the Chrysocolla and the vibrant red is Cuprite. The black outlining the Cuprite is a Copper Oxide called Tenorite. The stones name originates from Sonora State in northwest Mexico, which borders Arizona and New Mexico, and the "sunset" or also "sunrise" part comes from the fact that it looks like a beautiful sunset/sunrise over the mountains. This piece was mined at the renowned Milpillas Mine. The mine is has not been producing any more of this material. This piece has been cut and polished into a unique organic shape. It is in excellent condition and may be some of the last available.
    Overall Measurements: 12.3 x 8.3 x 4.7 inches (31.1 x 21.0 x 11.9 cm)
