    RAINBOW OBSIDIAN BOX
    Handcrafted in Italy
    Stone source: Mexico

    Rainbow Obsidian is volcanic glass whose flow structure has the ghostly colored banding suggestive of a rainbow. The iridescent, rainbow-like sheen is caused by inclusions of magnetite nanoparticles. This fine Italian box has a polished Rainbow Obsidian freeform in the center of the lid - it measures 4.6 x 3 inches (11.82 x 7.7 cm). It has a well-defined center zone of purple sheen that is ringed with multiple blue, gold, and purple bands of color. The inlay work is seamlessly crafted, with the Rainbow Obsidian rising above the deep black Onyx lid, showing off the skills of the master lapidary artist who created it. The interior of the box is also black Onyx, and there is gold plated brass furniture securing the lid of this hinged box.
    Overall Measurements: 6.7 x 1.6 x 2 inches (17 x 13.3 x 5 cm)
