    Lapis Box
    Stone Source: Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan
    Artist: Konstantin Libman

    This box virtually looks back when being viewed. This incredible example has been expertly hewn from unmistakable intense blue Lapis lazuli from Afghanistan. The lid was formed by painstakingly matching sections of Lapis to, essentially, form an "eye" design using the naturally occurring Pyrite speckles and white Calcite bands. The balance of the box is made out of hard black Diabase (Dolerite) with flecks of glass creating a glistening affect. This spellbinding box is in excellent condition and comes with an outer wooden presentation box for safekeeping of the azure treasure.
    Overall Measurements: 3.50 x 3.25 x 1.50 inches (8.89 x 8.25 x 3.81 cm)
