Amethyst is one of the most popular mineral varieties with collectors. The deep rich purple hue is coveted. This large box has been created out of Chevron Amethyst. This particular variety has a dramatic pattern created naturally by clear and white Quartz and purple Amethyst. This material is known for its linear banding which creates a wonderful canvas for lapidary artists. All of the sides have been meticulously matched by artist Konstantin Libman and have artist number "0601" on the reverse. The overall box features an almost "shadow affect" due to the clear Quartz. This highly decorative and utilitarian object is lined with Spanish Cedar and finished with Gold-plated brass hinges and felt feet. This box is in excellent condition and comes with a custom outer wooden box.
