Sourced from the only known deposit near Lake Baikal in Eastern Siberia, Charoite is a rare and visually arresting silicate mineral prized for its swirling fibrous patterns and vibrant purple hues. This exceptional decorative box showcases the stone's natural beauty in a single large lid panel, masterfully book-matched at the seams to highlight its dynamic movement and chatoyance. The lid is accented with a polished Charoite cabochon thumbpiece, while the box is supported on four finely cast, acanthus-motif feet. A gilt-Bronze plate finishes the underside, adding refinement to the overall presentation. This piece is a testament to both expert lapidary skill and the inherent artistry of the mineral itself.
