Opal is one of the most recognizable materials known. This stunning box has its lid handcrafted out of Boulder Opal from Queensland, Australia. Australian Opal is some of the most coveted available and for obvious reasons. The lid has been expertly matched with a unique design as the electric blue Opal pops against the contrasting rich earthy browns. The balance of the box is made of hard black Diabase (Dolerite) with specks of glass creating a glistening affect. Other finishing details include Gold-plated brass fittings and a Spanish Cedar wood inner lining. It was crafted by master lapidary Konstantin Libman and has the artist's mark "0627" on the bottom. This amazing box is in pristine condition and comes with a custom velvet lined presentation box.
