    In 2001, acclaimed plein air painter Kevin Macpherson had an exhibition at The Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, Texas. During his time in San Antonio, he painted the Texas Hill Country in the spring. Field of Blue represents a fresh and beautiful perspective on the classic Texas subject of bluebonnet landscapes.

    A Taos, New Mexico, resident, Macpherson is known for Impressionistic landscapes, figures, and genre scenes of California and the Southwest. Born in New Jersey and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, he studied art at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff. In addition to a successful career in painting, with numerous exhibitions including works shown at the Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma and the Albuquerque Museum, New Mexico, Macpherson is a well-known teacher and lecturer.
