    This piece was an ad illustration for Howard Watch, E. Howard Watch Company, Boston, Massachusetts, that ran in The Century, Scribner's, McClure's, and the Saturday Evening Post.




    Condition Report*: Very good condition: wax relined canvas, stable paint layer.  Black light reveals two small spots of strengthening approximately 1/4-inch in diameter, one along the upper right edge of canvas and one along the lower left edge of canvas.
