    A Zuni Necklace
    Porfilio Sheyka

    silver, abalone shell, turquoise, coral, jet, spiny oyster shell, stamped and etched on the back P Sheyka

    Provenance:
    Property from a Florida Private Collector

    Lengths: 14 ½ inches (27 ½ inches extended)

    Porfilio (1938 - 1982) and Ann Sheyka (1943 - ) specialize in channel inlay with finely engraved details, as evidenced in this necklace. This husband and wife team started working together in 1961, with Ann taking the lead as the silversmith and lapidarist. They sign their work with a stamped "P" on a plate adjacent to their etched last name.
