Benefiting Lifebeat

The Lomasney Collection consists of over 800 hand-painted film posters originally displayed in the The Royal Hawaiian Theater in Honolulu from 1930s to 1980s. Painted by artist John J. Lomasney, and spanning 50 years of cinematic history, the posters were called a "treasure trove of art" by the New York Post. The Lomasney Collection was acquired by tennis legend John McEnroe and displayed in his Soho, NYC gallery. Mr. McEnroe donated this astounding collection to Lifebeat, Music Fights HIV/AIDS to support their HIV prevention efforts.

Each large-scale piece is completely unique and painted in gouache on 44 x 28-inch artboard. Many incorporate original studio film stills. These one-of-a-kind works of art are available to collectors and movie buffs alike in online auctions opening at 10 PM CT on the 1st Thursday of the month and closing 10 PM CT on the 4th Thursday of the month.
