This painting was originally published as the cover for Dial M for Man by Orrie Hitt (Beacon books #B465, 1962). It was then altered to its present state and published as the cover for The Sisters by Norman Bligh (Beacon/Softcover Library book #922X, 1966): "Can a call girl really enjoy love the way other woman do? A frank portrait of two girls in the world's oldest profession and an intimate picture of the sensual life they shared."
