John Lewis (born 1942), is a glass sculptor from Oakland, California who studied under the tutelage of Marvin Lipofsky early in his career. During the 1970s, Lewis created these Moon Vases in response to America's space exploration. His work can be found in the collection of The Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.
