    From the Estate of Charles Martignette.

    A copy of a letter from Reid Stewart Austin dated January 12, 1990 documenting the sale of painting to Charles Martignette accompanies this lot.

    This painting was reproduced in True magazine, Petty Girl Calendar, June 1947, as well as figure 589 in The Great American Pin-Up by Charles G. Martignette and Louis K. Meisel, Taschen, 1996. The published version of the painting was also reproduced on page 125 of Petty by Reid Stewart Austin, Gramercy Books, 1997.

    Condition Report*: Light discoloration/possible surface grime around the extreme edges; scattered pin-holes on the extreme edges; image is in very good condition. Not examined outside of frame. Framed under glass to an overall size of 34 x 28.75 inches.
