Geoffrey Dashwood is a British sculptor known for his sleek bronzes depicting simplified avian forms. His works distill each bird's features to their most basic shape, streamlining them and highlighting their aerodynamic silhouettes. Presented here are a selection of works from a larger collection, the rest of which are being offered in Heritage's Fine and Decorative Arts Auction, June 8-9, Dallas.

Condition Report*: Sculpture measures 12.75 x 22.5 x 7 inches. There appears to be scattered scuffs and scratches to patina, most notably an approx. 1 x 1 inch scratch to left wing (when sculpture is facing viewer); minor spots of verdigris to tail; possible bend to tail and left foot.

It would indeed have been much simpler to work with a local auction house, and we had local options. But we never once regretted going with Heritage.
