Chrysoberyl gemstones are considered exotic. This descriptor is due
to its unique characteristics. This Chrysoberyl hails from Sri
Lanka, which is one of the top producers for this material. This
fine example features a beautiful yellowish-green body color. The
trillion shaped stone has been expertly cut, as this material is
notoriously difficult to cut and polish. The vibrant stone displays
excellent color, which is nicely saturated. The gem has a mixed cut
with brilliant cut facets on the crown and step cut facets on the
pavilion and displays nice brilliance and scintillation.
Chrysoberyl is further prized for being both hard and tough, making
it ideal for wear in jewelry. This 12.07-carat gem is in pristine
