Gemstone: Black Opal - 14.43 Cts.
Black Opal is one of the most coveted of all the Opal varieties.
This example has a dark bodycolor and lights up with broad flashes
of electric green, blue and purple. The 14+ carat cabochon features
an even oval shape, a low dome, nice polish and a rounded girdle.
The stone has balanced and lovely play-of-color making it an
attractive stone for the coveted variety. This Australian export is
in excellent condition with only one small internal fracture. This
oval-shaped stone would make a stunning piece of jewelry or could
just be admired loose.
Measurements: 21.85 x 16.05 x 6.09 mm, 14.43 cts.
