Unlike lilac Kunzite or green Hiddenite, the yellow variety of Spodumene has yet to acquire a varietal name. As a result, it is stuck with a simply descriptive name: Yellow Spodumene - not the best way to achieve "brand name recognition." That, coupled with its relative rarity, condemn it to appearances in the cabinets of rare stone collectors and museums. Cut in a round brilliant style, this rather sizable gem is bright and lively with a pleasing Chardonnay tint. It measures 21.1 mm in diameter and it weighs 35.40 cts.
