    Description

RUTILATED GEMSTONE: QUARTZ - 50.00 CT.
    Brazil
Although the most common mineral on Earth, Quartz is only occasionally found to contain Rutile which is a major ore of Titanium. In the case of Rutilated Quartz, the inclusions actually enhance, rather than detract from, the appeal and value of the specimen. This large gemstone, weighing an impressive 50 carats, is a definitive example of Rutilated Quartz as a cut stone. This fascinating specimen has a very wide table that provides a perfect window for viewing the golden surreal contents of this fine smoky colored Brazilian Quartz.
    Measurements: 35.6 x 20.6 x 14 mm, 50.0 cts.
    Offered at no reserve.

    Provenance
    : Manitou Minerals [Hoppel #G0074]
