DescriptionRARE GEMSTONE: COLOR-CHANGE FLUORITE - 70.23 CT.
This unique color change Fluorite weighs a substantial 70.23 carats. It has a light-medium purplish blue color in daylight and a pink-purple hue under incandescent lighting. As one might deduce, the term "fluorescence" derives from Fluorite. Some British Fluorites, such as this large example, have consistent fluorescence. This is a beautiful example of a cushion cut stone with a brilliant style pavilion and crown. The stone is slightly included, and there is a very minor chip on the pavilion; otherwise, this gemstone is in good condition.
Measurements: 32.2 x 20.3 x 16.1 mm, 70.23 cts.
Offered at no reserve.
Provenance: Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society Gem Collection
