DescriptionPREMIUM COLLECTOR GEMSTONE: RHODOCHROSITE - 12.88 CT
Sweet Home Mine, Mount Bross, Alma District, Park Co., Colorado, USA
The world-renowned Rhodochrosite pockets found at the Sweet Home Mine in the 1990s, not only yielded unforgettable world-class mineral specimens, it also provided gem rough for collector gemstones. This luscious hot pink gemstone is a rare example of facetted Rhodochrosite from this now closed locality. Highly sought by gem collectors worldwide, the demand far outstrips the limited supply available. This is a very well cut, bright and lively stone with a minor amount of veil type inclusions - not unusual due to the rarity of the rough. This premium collector gem is an emerald-cut gemstone that measures 18.2 x 9.15 mm and weighs 12.88 carats. It is in excellent condition.
Estimate: $13,000 - $15,000.
