Description
NATURAL, UNTREATED RUBY WITH A.G.T.A. CERTIFICATEMyanmar (formerly known as Burma)
This natural, untreated red Ruby is a 1.78 carat facetted cushion cut with a mixed brilliant crown. This transparent Ruby has excellent color and is accompanied by American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) certificate #93024510 stating that it is a natural Ruby with no indications of heat treatment. AGTA is one of the world's premier gem certification laboratories and few Rubies can obtain this level of certification. Almost all Rubies have undergone some sort of heat treatment to improve on the color but this is the very rare exception to that rule. The certificate also states that the country of origin is Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). From the classic, most desirable Ruby locality in the world, this fine gemstone measures 6.81 x 6.39 x 4.74 mm.
