    This collection within a collection consists of a set of 40, essentially matching, emerald cut Garnets of all colors the variety is known to occur in naturally. "A Lifetime of a Rainbow" represents some 38 years of searching and collecting rough material from the Garnet producing sites all over the globe to create what must be one of the world's finest known collections. A visual examination of this truly phenomenal grouping shows a range between numerous hues including orange, green, red, yellow and various combinations of those same colors as is typical for the species. These fabulous 40 gemstones each have their own individual character as the cut of the individual stones makes each little example a fantastic Garnet in its own right. A total carat weight of 54.31 confirms there is an abundance of quality material in this unparalleled offering. From Grossular to Spessartine and Pyrope to Andradite, numerous varieties are represented in the singular collection as multiple examples of Hessonite, Imperial, Cinnamon, "Mahenge," Malaia, Tsavorite and Demantoid are all showcased in the amazing assortment as well. The colorful symphony stands as a testimony to a focused collector on a mission to create something of great significance, yet, also, top quality from start to finish.
