The rich, vibrant green of Tsavorite Garnets is hard to convey in both photos and words, as the camera cannot capture the full gamut of the color. This fine example is no exception. The cushion-shaped dazzler exhibits an intense, well-balanced green hue. Of the Grossularite species, the noteworthy 2.14-carat stunner features mixed-cut faceting and eye-clean clarity. Displaying excellent brilliance, the electric green hue is highly saturated. In overall excellent condition, the stone exhibits an excellent polish with only one small cavity on the pavilion and a couple of fingerprints under magnification. First discovered in 1967, this popular green variety of Garnet, with African origins, is still highly sought-after and represents both a sophisticated collector's gem and an exceptional candidate for a distinctive center stone.
