Any viewer is immediately struck by the hot pink color of this Spinel. This demure stone has a modern cushion cut with fancy facets and features a "bow-tie" facet on the crown. The color is well-balanced throughout the stone, which is a testament to the great cut. The gem is visually included and, under magnification, there are a few elongated crystal inclusions, fingerprints and clouds of exsolved Rutile needles contributing the soft, hazy appearance of the stone. There are no visible blemishes, making this gem, with knockout color, a real showstopper.
Measurements: 8.00 x 5.51 x 4.63 mm, 1.66 cts.
