    Description

    Gemstone: Sapphire - 7.66 Cts.
    Madagascar

Madagascar is garnering favorable attention when it comes to Sapphires. Over the last few years Madagascar has produced some of the best examples on the market. This offering is no different and is an exceptional example of rare purple Sapphire. This top stone features a regal and rich purple body color of medium tone with great saturation and a slight secondary red hue. The stone has a classic oval shape with a modified brilliant cut crown and a step cut pavilion. The stone is highly transparent, and as stated in the accompanying GIA Certificate (#6204506950), there are no indications of heating. The sizable gemstone weighs in at an impressive 7.66 carats and displays an interesting, almost color zoning, due to its pleochroic habit when viewed from certain angles. The stone is slightly visibly included, which is to be expected with the variety. The bodycolor of this Sapphire is hands-down stunning! There is only one very small inconsequential nick on the pavilion, but, otherwise, this prized stone is in pristine condition.
    Measurements: 12.85 x 10.20 x 6.80 mm, 7.66 cts.

    Accompanied by GIA Certificate (#6204506950)
