    Gemstone: Rhodochrosite - 8.28 Cts.
    Sweet Home Mine
Mount Bross, Alma District, Park Co.
    Colorado, USA

This highly collectible stone has been faceted out of world renowned Sweet Home Rhodochrosite. The gemstone features a fancy 'shield' shape, with a "checkerboard" crown, and triangular facets over the pavilion. The highly saturated reddish-pink gem really lights up, displaying amazing brilliance and luster. The stone exhibits inclusions, but the inclusions do not detract from the overall appeal of this "hot pink" material. Noted cutter Brett Kosner was able to achieve the most out of his cutting, yielding a gemstone weighing a quite respectable 8.28 carats. Gem-quality material is hard to come by making this incredible and relatively soft stone all the more special. This piece is accompanied by a pre-notched, Gold pendant setting offering an added option should a future owner want to set the gorgeous and colorful gemstone.
    Measurements: 13 x 11.4 x 8.5 mm, 8.28 cts.
