    Gemstone: Pyrope - Almandine Garnet - 12.46 Cts.
    Tanzania

    This whopping Almandine Garnet weighs in at nearly 12.5 carats. The large stone features a very attractive deep red hue with a purple undertone. The stone has been fashioned into a cushion shape that enhances the overall color, and the step cut crown and brilliant cut pavilion boosts the natural scintillation of the material. When viewed from the table, tiny intersecting Rutile inclusions become visible. Under magnification, there is a feather inclusion in the corner. The stone is excellent condition with no visible blemishes. This is an attractive gem with some rather interesting characteristics underneath the surface.
    Measurements: 14.44 x 13.76 x 9.04 mm, 12.46 cts.
