This light green gemstone with an elongated cushion shape represents the variety Prasiolite, which is the product of irradiation and heating, typically of Amethyst, to turn it into a yellowish-green stone. This pleasing green hue is accented by brilliant facets on the crown and pavilion. High clarity characterizes this example that, is consistent in coloration, quite nice at 5.86 carats, and is, simply, rather appealing with intense scintillation.
