Weighing just over 1 carat, the attractive pear-shaped stone features mixed-cut faceting and presents with an excellent luster. The dazzler is accompanied by a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report stating no indications of heat, a rarity in the trade, given that most Pink Sapphires commonly undergo heat treatment to enhance color and appearance. Eye-clean with very good brilliance, the highly saturated color is likely attributed to the presence of Chromium, causing a strong red fluorescence when viewed under Ultraviolet light.
