This gemmy "Peacock" Kyanite has spellbinding color and yields from the "Land Down Under." This incredible 8.45 carat stone lights up with a blueish-green color, which is hard to describe. The color is almost "sea-foam" green and is well-balanced and saturated. This gem features a Barion cut and has 60-degree angled inclusions which create a slight shimmer when the stone is tilted. The stone does have visible inclusions which is typical of the rare material along with a break on the corner through the pavilion. This stone is a true testament to the skilled cutter who faceted this "exotic" material. Due to its unique hardness, Kyanite is a great stone for jewelry applications.
