Not only is Zircon one of the oldest minerals on Earth, but it can be cut and faceted into amazing gemstones such as this modern cushion example. Zircon has similar characteristics to Diamond making the material a highly attractive alternative. This stone lights up with strong dispersion that creates amazing brilliance and luster. This incredible gem features a vibrant blue body color sometimes referred to as 'kingfisher blue' with a slight greenish-gray undertone. The stone was sourced from the type locality for the material - Cambodia. Weighing a full 9 carats, this gem is in excellent condition with only one small feather inclusion.
