Almost all Sapphires and Rubies today are heat treated to enhance and improve their color. A true rarity is to find a natural, untreated blue Sapphire - such as this fine gemstone with certification to that effect. This Sapphire is a light to medium blue, with a hint of violet, and it is eye clean with no zoning when viewed face down. This fine cushion cut gemstone measures 10.2 x 7.72 x 7.04 mm, weighs 5.236 carats, and is in excellent condition.
