DescriptionFine Gemstone: Andradite Garnet - 6.06 Ct.
Parrot Mine, Tubussis Farm 22, Karibib District, Erongo Region, Namibia
This round cut Andradite, at 6+ carats, is a large stone showing an olive body color with smoky overtones. It has the prized brilliance and "Diamond-like" luster coveted by collectors. The rough was found in 2004 and the gem was originally fashioned by local cutters. Recut by Spectrum Award winner Mark Kaufman, it now shows scintillating, rainbow flashes set against a smoky olive hue. It is in excellent condition and would make a beautiful pendant.
Measurements: 11.39 x 11.34 x 6.85 mm, 6.06 cts.
Offered at no reserve.
Provenance: Rainbow of Africa Collection
