Comprising 59 matched round cabochons, a larger round anchor stone, and a dramatic pear-shaped drop stone, the gems are arranged as a graceful pear-drop strand, gently graduating toward the center. The graceful grouping evidences the gem's signature adularescence, a billowing, silvery-blue glow that seems to float just beneath the surface of each stone, with a sharp chatoyancy or cat's-eye effect. Each stone has been expertly cut and polished into a smooth cabochon, a shape that enhances Moonstone's mysterious phenomena. The 59 smaller cabochons feature strong chatoyancy and a translucent, soft bluish white bodycolor, along with a mix of medium and high domes with beveled girdles and flat-cut bases.
