Mined in Brazil, one of the premier localities for the variety, this captivating Star Rose Quartz is monumental in scale and visual impact. Weighing a noteworthy 410.65 carats, the medium-domed cabochon displays a well-defined six-ray star that emerges sharply across the gently curved surface under pinpoint lighting. Expertly polished, the stone is fashioned as a double cabochon with a low-domed pavilion, a cut chosen to enrich the color while enhancing the optical phenomenon. The semi-translucent gem reveals the rare and mesmerizing effect known as asterism, caused by light reflecting off microscopic, needle-like Rutile inclusions oriented in multiple directions. The result is a luminous six-rayed star that gracefully shimmers and glides across the surface as the stone is rotated beneath a single light source. The stone exhibits a delicate, slightly purplish pink hue that is both soft and saturated, a hallmark of fine-quality Rose Quartz.
