This sizable Opal is a true showstopper. The elongated oval shaped example displays incredible play-of-color, with sweeping, large patches of fire in a striking broadflash pattern that showcases all the spectral colors spectacularly. Weighing nearly 64 carats, the dazzler features an alluring white background hue that displays a warm orange tone in direct light and a subtle blue tone against black. Exhibiting full 360-degree fire, the reverse additionally showcases a tightly formed honeycomb pattern. The cabochon is in overall excellent condition with an expert cut and polish. The medium-domed cabochon features a smooth finish, a flat-cut base, and a rounded girdle. As expected in a natural Opal of this size, the dome is very slightly asymmetrical, with one end rising higher than the other, but this does not detract from the overall appearance. Impressive in size, color, and presence, this is a top-tier example of coveted Ethiopian Opal.
