    Gemstone: Opal - 48.85 Cts.
    Coober Pedy
    Central North
    South Australia, Australia

Opal is another one of those easily recognizable precious stones. It is easy to see why as it is also one of the most popular due to its intriguing habit. This alluring large oval shaped cabochon from Australia will make anyone do a "double take." This material was mined from THE foremost location for Opals on the Earth - Coober Pedy in South Australia. This example displays an intense "play-of-color" with mesmerizing flashes of bright orange, red, yellow, blue, purple and green, seemingly never in the same combination of colors twice making for a very impressive specimen of "confetti" Opal. Weighing a respectable 48.85 carats, the milky white singular piece has been polished to reveal the colorful phenomenon of this gem that also happens to be the October birthstone. This natural Opal will add a splash of color to any case.
    Overall Measurements: 30.3 x 27.8 x 8.6 mm, 48.85 cts.
