This extraordinary 34.30 carat Ethiopian Opal captivates with electrifying play-of-color set against a dramatic dark bluish black background, the ideal canvas for a stunning, vivid display. As the stone is moved and viewed, expansive flashes of blue, green, yellow, orange, and red ignite across the surface in a dynamic interplay of fine honeycomb and bold broadflash patterning. Having undergone stable heat treatment, the cabochon is expertly polished with a pleasing medium dome, beveled girdle, and slightly convex base. The reverse reveals rolling red fire with a faint haze consistent with treatment.
